Geocities is Closing Down?!
Just today, I found out that the patron saint of free web hosting is shutting down. This is very disappointing for me, since I know of sites that have been hosted on there since as early as 1996! Let's hope the Web Archive backs up much of those sites. Then again, a lot of those sites haven't updated in many years, so this won't be a problem.
After checking the Pokemon webring, I saw that quite a few of them are hosted on Geocities, which surprised me even more.

New GS Remakes, and plan to retire from the series fandom
Well, it looks like Game Freak has listened: Pokemon Gold and Silver are getting remade for the DS, possibly getting a release in Japan on the 10th anniversary of the original Game Boy Color versions. The remakes are called HeartGold and SoulSilver.
It's about time too, considering that Game Freak needed to address the lack of Game Boy Advance slot in the DSi and the fact that some of the Pokemon were still only obtainable through that. What a way to wrap up the fourth generation of Pokemon!

Here's the lowdown: There are no grammar errors, but there isn't much description or character emotions, and some of the scenes are too short. As a result, it could very well be split into parts, causing the story to be extended to 30+ chapters instead of the regular 20.
