Biography

I first heard of Pokémon through that old commercial I saw sometime in early 1999. It had that bus driver picking the Pokémon up!
"Hey, little buddy. Wanna ride?"
"Pikachu."
"Yeah, whatever."
That was a cool commercial.
Anyway, I'm Eric Oakford, the creator of this site. I come from the state of Michigan and am an avid web expert. I was diagnosed with autism at age 8, so I sometimes act like an automaton, but I can still think for myself.

History of Pokémon Gaming (when I got the games, how long it took me to beat them, etc.)

I got a Game Boy Color and Pokémon Red on October of that year. Wow, it was nothing like any other game I've played. The fad was in my school as well. Pokémon Handbooks, a poster, etc. Then, in summer 2001, I got Pokémon Silver. For some reason, it was a bit easier then Red, which I hadn't even beaten at the time. Then on my 13th birthday in 2003, I got the Ruby version! Then FireRed on release date in 2004, during then I had just started high school. And then came Emerald the following summer, concluding so far to Diamond in April.
It took me three years to beat Generation I. It took me one year to beat Generation II. It took me four months to beat Generation III. It took me a little over one month to beat Generation IV - with little internet help and a mostly complete Pokédex to boot!
